”Uriselle!” She sobbed, “That wretched girl is refusing the best thing that will ever happen to her, when I was young, I would’ve gladly traded my limbs to marry a Vietnamese nobleman!” She spat; her tears now gleamed with anger.

She wailed and buried her hands in her head for a few moments, before raising her head.

”It’s exactly what her Father would’ve wanted –“ The Queen continued in the same melodramatic tone,

”Don’t you dare speak as thought you know what my father wanted…” Uriselle said in the exceedingly venomous tone as she swept past Jemima,

”Well, isn’t it most unfortunate that he’s not around to explain to me that he didn’t want his daughter to have the best life I could get for her! I know one thing for sure, he damn well didn’t want you!” The Queen reminisced.

Uriselle glared at her with a look of utmost hate sprawled across her face; she calmly walked up to her Mother, who was still crunched over hugging her knees on the floor.

Though it may’ve been a trick of the light, Jemima swore she saw The Queen glance quickly at the window as if checking something.

The Queen felt regret churn through her like a tsunami when she meet Uriselle’s eyes.

”Don’t assume I don’t know you’re not my mother, you’re simply a dirty conniving slut of a woman who stole a baby and exploited the King.”
